ONE home visit. ONE standing frame. ONE child receiving therapy.
Disability and Poverty Cycle
80% of people with disabilities live in developing countries.
Disability and poverty co-exists in a vicious cycle. The poor are more likely to develop disabilities, due to the complex interaction of multiple factors; including resource limitations, lack of access to services and exposure. People with disabilities are more likely to become poor, due to stigmatization, restricted opportunities, and the additional cost disability places on a family.
Therapy helps break the cycle
well being
Well-being is the condition of an individual or a group. It is a positive physical, mental, social, environmental and spiritual state. Health is more than the absence of disease. It is the presence of well-being. We go beyond rehabilitation. We promote well-being.
basic right
Participation in meaningful activities is a basic human right. Having the social power to choose in which activities you will engage, and the ability to perform these activities in a satisfactory manner, contributes to well-being and health.
